About this service
On a short film every shooting hour counts, so a storyboard settles framing before the crew arrives: the wide shot that sets the room, the over-the-shoulder exchange, the close-up when the truth comes out. We draw the shots of your scene from the script and shot list, keeping the characters, set and light consistent. Indie filmmakers use them for crew planning, funding and festival lab applications and pitch decks.

The scene from the script, the shot list with shot sizes and angles if you have it, the characters, the location and time of day, and the visual tone of the film.
We will ask you:
- Which scene should we board?
- Do you have a shot list?
- What is the visual tone?

Questions and answers
Can you draw camera moves with arrows?
Frames are clean images. Add arrows, shot numbers and notes in your storyboard template; we can show a push-in as a start and end frame.
Does the frame match my camera aspect ratio?
Frames are landscape. Crop or letterbox them to 16:9, 2.39:1 or your film's ratio; tell us the ratio and we keep the action inside it.
Is six frames enough for a scene?
Six frames cover the key shots of a short dialogue scene. Longer scenes are usually boarded in several orders.
