The client and all details are made up.

About this service

We create crest logo concepts for private schools, academies, prep schools and tutoring centres: shields with open books, torches, laurel wreaths, owls or towers, a ribbon for the school name and classic serif lettering that parents associate with tradition. Each concept is planned for a blazer badge, a website header, certificates and a sports kit, so the shield stays clear even when small.

What is included

  • What you getSchool crest concepts in high resolution, each a different shield and set of symbols, drawn as new designs in a heraldic style. Delivered as PNG files; source vector files (.ai, .eps, .svg) are not included. These are concepts, not a registered trademark: check availability before registering.

What we need from you

The school name, the founding year if you want it, your values or motto in a few words, symbols that matter (a local landmark, an animal), school colours and links to crests you like.

We will ask you:

  • What is the school's name, exactly as it should appear?
  • Which symbols reflect the school?
  • What are your school colours?
  • Do you have a short motto?

Questions and answers

Can the motto be in Latin?

Yes, if it is short. Check the spelling in the result; a longer motto is better added to the ribbon in any editor.

Will it work as an embroidered blazer badge?

Yes, as a design. The embroidery company redraws it for stitching; simpler shields with fewer fine lines give the cleanest badge.

Is it an official coat of arms?

No. It's a new crest in a heraldic style for your school's brand, not a registered or granted coat of arms.
