App screens for a meditation app

5 pictures

These are mock-up pictures of the screens, not app code or design files.

Client: Drift, a meditation app in the making. Task: five main screens in one calm style.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

We draw the welcome slides a new user swipes through after installing your app: usually three or four screens, each with one illustration, one short headline and a button, plus a final sign-up or permission screen. Onboarding has seconds to explain why the app is worth keeping, so every screen carries one idea and the illustrations share one style and character. Each picture is one vertical screen in a phone frame, and the short headline on it is the only text.

What we need from you

What your app does, the three or four ideas new users must get, a short headline for each screen, your colours and the illustration style you like.

We will ask you:

  • What does your app do in one sentence?
  • What should each onboarding screen say?
  • Which illustration style do you like?
  • What should the last screen ask for?

Questions and answers

Can you write the onboarding headlines?

This service draws the screens. Send your headlines in the brief; we can shorten them slightly so they fit.

What if a letter in the headline comes out wrong?

Ask for a fix within your revisions, or replace the headline in an editor, which also lets you translate it later.

Do these screens fit any app?

Yes, from shopping to productivity apps. The illustrations are drawn for your app's story, not taken from a stock pack.
