Presentation: investor pitch for a neighbourhood coffee roastery
Slide outline
1. Title — Ember Street Roasters: fresh coffee for the whole east side. Founders' names, date.
2. The problem — Local cafés buy beans roasted weeks ago. Customers notice: 62% of our survey respondents say "freshness" is why they switched to us.
3. What we do — We roast in small batches every morning and sell within 7 days. Three pillars: freshness, transparent sourcing, a café people come back to.
4. Traction — Chart: monthly revenue Jan 2025 → Sep 2026, from $18k to $41k. Key number in large type: +128% in 20 months.
5. Customers — 1,400 loyalty members; 38% visit at least weekly. Quote card from a regular.
6. The market — East side: 3 neighbourhoods, ~60,000 residents, 22 cafés, only 2 roast their own.
7. The opportunity — Wholesale to cafés and offices: 14 businesses already asked to buy our beans.
8. The plan — Second café in Millbrook (lease offered, 1,100 sq ft) + wholesale line with a new 15 kg roaster.
9. Unit economics — Table: average ticket $7.40, gross margin 68%, café break-even at month 9.
10. Financial forecast — 3-year table: revenue $520k → $1.1M; EBITDA turns positive in year 2.
11. Use of funds — Pie chart: fit-out 45%, roaster 25%, working capital 20%, marketing 10%.
12. The team — Two founders, head roaster with 9 years' experience, café manager.
13. Risks and how we handle them — Bean prices (6-month contracts), staffing (training program), slower ramp-up (cash runway of 14 months).
14. The offer — $180,000 for 15% equity; quarterly reports; investor coffee club.
15. Thank you — Contacts and an invitation to a cupping session at the roastery.

About this service
Old decks grow by accretion: every year someone adds slides, nobody removes any, and the result is 40 slides of bullet points where the main message appears on slide 23. Export your current presentation to PDF and send it; we read every slide, find the one message the audience must remember, cut and merge what repeats and rebuild the deck as a clear story with a headline per slide. You get a new slide order, rewritten text and a list of what was dropped and why.
What is included
- What you getThe rebuilt deck as slide-by-slide text with visual notes on the order page and as a PowerPoint (.pptx) or PDF file made from the text, plus a map from old slides to new ones.
- Full read of the old deckEvery slide, including notes if exported
- One main messageThe point the whole deck now builds to
- New story orderProblem, idea, proof, next step
- Headline per slideTitles that say the point, not the topic
- Old-to-new mapWhat was kept, merged or dropped
How it works
- 1UploadYou send the old deck as a PDF
- 2RebuildWe restructure and rewrite the slides
- 3DeliveryYou get the new deck text and a file
What we need from you
Your current deck exported to PDF with a text layer (or screenshots), who the audience is now, what has changed since it was made, what you want them to do after seeing it, and slides that must stay.
We will ask you:
- Who will see the rebuilt presentation?
- What should they do or decide afterwards?
- What has changed since the deck was made?
- Which slides or facts must stay?

Questions and answers
Do you keep our design and charts?
We work with the text. Charts and images are described in visual notes; the new file is plain text without your design, so your designer or template finishes it.
Can you read our .pptx file directly?
Export it to PDF first: in PowerPoint, Keynote or Google Slides choose Save as or Download as PDF. Scanned slides without a text layer cannot be read.
Will you update outdated figures?
Only with figures you give us. We mark every number that looks outdated so you can check it.
