Files: a ZIP archive with index.html, the styles, script.js and 4 pictures drawn for the game. It works with a mouse, a finger and the arrow keys, keeps the best score on the player's device, and goes on the client's own hosting or in an iframe on their site. The pictures here are screenshots of the game.

Client: Maple Bean, a coffee shop that wanted a little game for its website and social pages to tell people about its autumn blend. Task: a catching game in warm autumn colours: the player moves a cup, catches coffee beans (+1), golden beans (+5), dodges ice cubes, has 3 lives and 2 levels; the end screen links to the menu.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

A game for an eco project, a school, a city service, a zero-waste cafe or a brand with recyclable packaging: items such as a jar, a newspaper, a banana peel or a can drop onto the screen, and the player drags each one into the right bin. A right choice adds points; a wrong one shows a short note on where it really goes. Sorting rules differ from city to city, so the bins, their colours, which item goes where and the notes all come from you; we do not decide them. Send us that list and your colours, and we draw the bins and items and write the code. The game has no server: the best score stays on the device, with no sign-in, ads or collecting of emails, so it suits children too. In Premium, players who sort everything right see your promo code.

Questions and answers

Whose sorting rules does it use?

Yours. Rules differ between cities and services, so you tell us the bins and where each item goes; we do not check or choose them.

Can our packaging be in the game?

Yes: send a photo, and we draw it as one of the items, with the bin you say it goes into.

Is it good for schools?

Yes. It has no ads, no sign-in and collects nothing, and it plays on a classroom computer, a tablet or a phone.

Is there a shared leaderboard?

No. The game has no server, so each player sees only their own best score, kept on their device.
