About this service
We redraw your photo as a comic book panel: bold ink outlines, halftone dots, dramatic lighting and a hero pose, in a classic superhero, noir or bright pop-art look. It makes a great gift for a comics fan, a striking profile picture, a cover for a gaming or streaming channel or a playful page in a photo book. Each picture is redrawn from one of your photos as a PNG of about 1.5 megapixels, sharp on screens and in small prints, with speech bubbles left empty for you to fill in.
What is included
- What you getComic-style portraits as PNG files of about 1.5 megapixels, one per picture in your package, each drawn from one of your photos. Words such as "POW!" or a speech bubble line go in through your editor, since text drawn in the panel may come out wrong.
- Real comic lookInk outlines, halftone dots and bold shadows
- Pick a genreSuperhero, noir detective or pop-art
- Your own costumeAn original suit in your colours, not a copy of a famous hero
- Empty speech bubblesReady for the line you type yourself
- Action backgroundCity rooftops, speed lines or a burst of colour
How it works
- 1Hero briefYou upload photos and pick the genre, costume and setting
- 2Comic panelWe redraw you in ink lines, dots and dramatic light
- 3PNG and revisionsYou get the panels and ask for changes within your package
What we need from you
Up to 5 photos (PNG, JPEG or WebP) with a sharp, well-lit face and, for a hero pose, the upper body visible, that you have the right to use. Tell us the comic style, the costume colours, the setting and whether you want empty speech bubbles. We don't work with photos for IDs or other documents, nudity, or swapping in the face of a celebrity or anyone else.
We will ask you:
- Which comic style do you want?
- What is your hero like?
- Which costume colours and setting?
- Do you need empty speech bubbles?

Questions and answers
Can you dress me as a famous superhero?
We make an original costume in the colours and mood you like, but we do not copy trademarked suits or logos. That keeps the picture safe to post and gift.
Can you write the text in the bubbles?
Lettering inside the panel can come out misspelled, so we leave the bubbles empty. A comic font in any editor gives you a clean, exact line.
Can you make a full comic strip from my photos?
Each picture is a single panel made from one photo, so Premium gives you five panels you can arrange into a strip in a layout app. Panel order and captions are up to you.
Will the ink lines change my face?
The comic look exaggerates shadows and simplifies features, but you stay recognizable. Small details such as freckles or a scar may differ slightly, and a revision can bring them back.
