About this service
An ex libris marks a book as yours and turns a shelf of books into a library with a name. We draw bookplate stamps in the classic tradition: the words "Ex libris" with your name or family name, framed by a motif that tells something about you, such as an owl, a tree of knowledge, a lighthouse, a cat on a pile of books or your favourite plant. The look follows old engravings and woodcuts, with clean lines that work as a rubber stamp or a printed sticker.

What we need from you
The name exactly as it should appear, a motif that reflects you or your family, the books you love most, the style (engraving, woodcut, Art Nouveau, minimal) and the size you plan.
We will ask you:
- Whose name goes on the ex libris?
- What motif tells your story?
- Which style do you like?
- Stamp or printed sticker?

Questions and answers
Can the inscription be in another language?
Yes. "Ex libris" is traditional, but "From the books of" or a short phrase in your language works too. Check the spelling in the result.
Can it look like a real old engraving?
We draw in that style with fine hatching. For a small rubber stamp, we keep lines a little bolder so the ink does not blur them.
Is it a good gift?
Very much so. Pick the motif together with what the person reads, and order the stamp from the chosen sketch.
