About this service

Many sites still start as a Photoshop layout, often one tall artboard with the whole page on it. Export it as PNG or JPEG and upload it, and we build it in HTML and CSS: the same sections, columns, colours and buttons, with real text instead of text inside a picture, and a phone version made from the desktop layout when there is no mobile one. We cannot open PSD files, so layers, smart objects and hidden states are not read. Photos and illustrations are drawn anew in the same spirit, unless you export them and upload them as separate files. No animations, back end, shop, CMS or hosting.

What we need from you

Up to 5 pictures as PNG, JPEG or WebP: your layouts exported from Photoshop with File > Export > Export As, one page per file, and, if you like, photos or your logo as separate files to use as they are. Say which file is which page, the fonts used, any texts that differ from the layout, and where each button leads. Not PSD files.

We will ask you:

Questions and answers

How do I export a PSD?

In Photoshop choose File > Export > Export As, pick PNG or JPEG and export the whole artboard. To use a photo exactly as it is, send the original photo file separately.

My layout is very tall. Is that a problem?

No, one tall picture per page is fine as long as the text is readable at full size. Each file can be up to 20 MB.

Will the photos from my layout be kept?

Only if you upload them as separate files: we cannot cleanly lift them out of a flat export. Otherwise they are drawn anew in the same spirit.

Will it match my design to the pixel?

It will be close in layout, colours, sizes and the order of sections, but not to the pixel: fonts are similar system fonts, and photos are drawn anew unless you upload your own. Revisions fix what matters to you.

Can I send a template I bought?

Yes, if its licence allows you to use it for a website. We build only designs you own or have the right to use.
