Client: a diner, a motorcycle garage and a surf shop. Task: logos that look like they have been around for decades: badges, worn print and retro lettering.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

We create logo concepts for diners, burger joints and milkshake bars in the spirit of 1950s roadside America: neon-sign scripts, checkerboard trims, chrome-edged badges and cheeky burger mascots. Each concept is built to work on a storefront sign, a burger wrapper, a menu header and a delivery app tile, where the logo often shows up no bigger than a thumbnail.

What is included

  • What you getDiner logo concepts in high resolution, each a different retro direction, from a neon-style script to a badge or a mascot. Delivered as PNG files; source vector files (.ai, .eps, .svg) are not included. These are concepts, not a registered trademark: check availability before registering.

What we need from you

The name of your diner or burger joint, what you serve (smash burgers, shakes, all-day breakfast), the era and mood you like, your colours and links to retro signs or logos you love.

We will ask you:

  • What is the diner's name, exactly as it should appear?
  • Which era feels right?
  • Would you like a mascot or lettering only?
  • Which colours do you want or want to avoid?

Questions and answers

Can you make a file for an actual neon sign?

No, we deliver PNG concepts. A neon sign maker traces the chosen concept into tubes; simple script lettering usually works best for that.

Can you add a line like Since 1958 or Open 24/7?

A short line can be tried, but longer text may not come out cleanly. You can add a slogan or opening hours in any editor.

Will it look like a famous burger chain?

We avoid copying well-known chains and diner brands; the retro feel comes from the era, not from someone else's logo.
