About this service
Contracts that have been edited many times end up with jumping clause numbers, cross-references to clauses that moved, terms defined twice or used with a capital letter in one place and not in another. Send your contract as a Word file or a PDF with selectable text, and we renumber the clauses in one scheme, fix every internal reference, gather the definitions in one section and use each defined term the same way throughout. We do not change what the contract says: anything that looks like a real conflict between clauses is listed for you to decide.
What is included
- What you getThe cleaned contract as a Word (.docx) file and as text, with a list of every renumbered clause, fixed reference and term change, plus open conflicts to decide. This is editorial work on the text, not legal advice.
- One numbering schemeClauses, sub-clauses and schedules
- Cross-references fixedEvery 'see clause X' checked
- Definitions gatheredOne place, no duplicates
- Terms used consistentlySame spelling and capitals everywhere
- Change listWhat changed and conflicts to decide
How it works
- 1ContractYou send the file and numbering style
- 2Clean-upWe renumber, fix references and terms
- 3DeliveryYou get the .docx and the change list
What we need from you
The contract as a Word file or a PDF with selectable text, the numbering style you want (for example 1, 1.1, 1.1.1 or articles with letters), and whether definitions should stay in one section or where first used.
We will ask you:
- Which numbering style do you want?
- Where should definitions sit?
- Are there schedules or annexes to number too?
- Which spelling should the contract use?

- Fixed priceThe package price does not change after you pay.
- The money is reservedWhen you pay, the amount is only reserved. It is released to the service once you accept the work.
- Checked before deliveryEvery result goes through a quality check before it reaches you, and you see it on the order page before accepting it.
- Free revisionsAsk for changes within your brief as many times as the package allows.
- Acceptance after 3 daysIf within 3 days of delivery you neither accept the work nor ask for changes, it is accepted automatically. If you write in the order chat after delivery, the order waits; once we answer, we may start the 3 days again and will say so in the chat.

Questions and answers
Is this legal advice?
No. We tidy the structure and wording of terms, not the legal substance. Have a lawyer review the contract if its content matters.
Will you see my changes as tracked changes?
No, the Word file comes back clean, without track changes. Every change is listed in a separate table instead, so you can compare.
Will my contract keep its look?
We keep headings, numbered lists and tables, but not logos, letterhead, special fonts or images. Add your letterhead back in Word if you need it.
