Files: a ZIP archive with 5 HTML pages, the styles and 7 pictures drawn for the articles, ready to upload to the client's hosting. New articles are added by copying an article page. The pictures here are screenshots of the site.

Client: Anna Berg, who writes simple home recipes and wanted her own blog instead of posts scattered across social networks. Task: a calm blog in warm white and olive with serif headings: a home page, 3 articles from her notes (pantry staples, Sunday lunch prep, one-pan lemon chicken) and an About page with her email and Instagram.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

A photography blog you put on your own hosting, where the pictures come first. Pages have wide picture blocks, a quiet layout and short text around each shot: the story behind it, the place and the settings you give, with related posts and links to your social profiles and portfolio. You can send up to 5 of your own photos with the order, and we place them in large layouts; the other picture slots get pictures drawn in the blog's style, and more of your photos can be swapped in later, as the guide shows. Send us your texts, or the subjects and your notes, and we write the articles (about 600 words each) and build the site in plain HTML and CSS. It is a static site, with no admin panel, upload area, private client galleries, comments or forms. Hosting and the domain are on your side.

Questions and answers

How many of my own photos can go in?

Up to 5 can be sent with the order, and we place them where you say. The other picture slots in your package get pictures drawn in the blog's style. After delivery you can swap in more of your photos by replacing the picture files, as the guide shows.

Will my photos lose quality?

We save web-sized copies so the pages open fast on phones and still look sharp on ordinary screens. Your original files stay with you: the site is not a place to store or sell full-size files.

Can clients see private galleries or buy prints?

No: a static site has no sign-in, payments or upload area. A button can lead to your own shop or booking page.

Can my photos be protected from copying?

Nothing on a public web page fully stops copying. If you ask, we show your name in a small caption over the photos and add a copyright line in the footer.

Do you put the blog online?

No. You get the archive and upload it to your hosting; the guide explains how. Hosting and the domain are paid and set up on your side.
