Files: a ZIP archive with 5 HTML pages, the styles and 7 pictures drawn for the articles, ready to upload to the client's hosting. New articles are added by copying an article page. The pictures here are screenshots of the site.

Client: Anna Berg, who writes simple home recipes and wanted her own blog instead of posts scattered across social networks. Task: a calm blog in warm white and olive with serif headings: a home page, 3 articles from her notes (pantry staples, Sunday lunch prep, one-pan lemon chicken) and an About page with her email and Instagram.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

A pet blog you put on your own hosting, for the everyday life of your animals and what you have learned caring for them. Each article page has a clear title, the date and author, headings, short lists of your tips, drawn pictures of your pets, related posts and links to your social profiles, and the About page introduces each animal with the details you give. Send us your stories, or the subjects and your points, and we write the articles (about 600 words each), draw the pictures and build the site in plain HTML and CSS. The articles share your own experience: we add no veterinary, feeding or medicine advice, and health posts keep your note to ask a vet. It is a static site, with no admin panel, comments, search or forms. Hosting and the domain are on your side.

What we need from you

The name of the blog and the animals it is about. For each pet: name, kind, breed if you want it shown, age and a few lines about their character. Your stories, or the subjects with your points and tips. Your note for health topics, in your words. The author's name and a few lines for the About page, your contacts and social links. Your colours and style. Optionally up to 5 pictures as PNG, JPEG or WebP: your logo or photos of your pets, which help us draw them.

We will ask you:

  • The name and topic of the blog
  • Your pets
  • Articles: your stories, or what to write about
  • Colours and style

Questions and answers

Can the pictures show my own pets?

Yes: send up to 5 photos, and we draw the covers based on them in one style. You can also use the photos themselves on the pages.

Will the articles give vet advice?

No. They share your experience in your words. We do not add advice on health, food or medicine, and health posts carry your note that readers should ask a vet.

Can readers share their pets or comment?

No: a static site stores nothing and has no upload. Posts can link to your social profile, where readers share their own photos.

How do I add new posts later?

Copy an article page, change its title, text and picture in any code editor and add a link on the home page; the guide shows how. Your developer can also move the design to a blogging platform.

Do you put the blog online?

No. You get the archive and upload it to your hosting; the guide explains how. Hosting and the domain are paid and set up on your side.
