Files: a ZIP archive with 5 HTML pages, the styles and 7 pictures drawn for the articles, ready to upload to the client's hosting. New articles are added by copying an article page. The pictures here are screenshots of the site.

Client: Anna Berg, who writes simple home recipes and wanted her own blog instead of posts scattered across social networks. Task: a calm blog in warm white and olive with serif headings: a home page, 3 articles from her notes (pantry staples, Sunday lunch prep, one-pan lemon chicken) and an About page with her email and Instagram.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

A crafts blog you put on your own hosting, for projects readers can follow and make themselves. Each project article has a short intro, a list of materials and tools, numbered steps as you do them, how long it takes and how hard it is in your words, pictures, related projects and links to your social profiles and to your shop if you have one. Send us your projects, or the ideas and your steps, and we write them up (about 600 words each), draw the pictures and build the site in plain HTML and CSS. We write only your own steps and measurements and do not add patterns, templates or safety notes you have not given. It is a static site, with no admin panel, shop, paid downloads, comments or forms. Hosting and the domain are on your side.

Questions and answers

Can I show photos of my steps?

Yes, up to 5 photos with the order, placed at the steps you say. The other picture slots get pictures drawn for the blog.

Can readers download my patterns?

A pattern of your own sent with the order can be linked from an article as a plain download. There is no shop or payment, so paid patterns stay on the platform where you sell them.

Will you check my steps?

We lay them out clearly and point out anything that looks missing, but we do not make the project ourselves. The steps, sizes and safety notes are yours.

How do I add new projects later?

Copy a project page, change the materials, steps and pictures in any code editor and link it from the home page; the guide shows how. Your developer can also move the design to a blogging platform.

Can it be found in search engines?

The pages have titles, descriptions and headings in order and load fast. Rankings depend on your content and on how long the blog has been online, so we cannot promise positions.
