Cover letter
Dear Hiring Team at Northbridge Freight,
I'm applying for the Operations Coordinator role. For the past six years I've kept a busy restaurant group running on time, and much of that work was logistics: getting the right goods to three sites, on schedule, with the right people ready to receive them.
Your vacancy mentions route planning, driver scheduling and supplier communication. At Harbour Kitchen Group I coordinate more than 40 deliveries a week and plan rotas for 35 people. When late deliveries became a problem, I set up a shared calendar with suppliers and cut missed slots from nine a month to two. I'd like to apply the same approach to your delivery schedules.
I'm comfortable with Excel and scheduling software and learn new systems quickly. I'd welcome the chance to discuss how my experience could support your operations team.
Kind regards, Daniel Moreno

About this service
For drivers and skilled trades, hiring managers scan for a few things first: licenses and classes, certifications, equipment you can run and your safety record. We put those at the top, then list jobs with the work you did, such as routes and miles, panel upgrades or sites and crews, in plain language instead of office jargon. The result is a clean one-page resume that reads well on a phone and passes job site filters.

Questions and answers
I have no formal training, only experience. Is that enough?
Yes. For trades, years on the job, the equipment you run and the work you completed often matter more than a diploma, and we put them first.
Should I list my license number?
Usually just the type, class and state or country is enough. Give the number to the employer when they ask for it.
Can you add a license I am still working on?
Yes, marked as in progress with the expected date. We never list a license you do not hold as if it were complete.
