English subtitles (fragment)
112
00:07:41,200 --> 00:07:44,050
Before you open the bowl,
the clay has to be perfectly centered.
113
00:07:44,300 --> 00:07:47,900
Brace your left elbow on your knee
and push in with the heel of your hand.
114
00:07:48,100 --> 00:07:51,350
If the clay wobbles against your palm,
it's not there yet.
115
00:07:51,600 --> 00:07:54,800
[STUDENT] How long do I keep pushing?
116
00:07:55,000 --> 00:07:59,400
Until it feels like it's standing still,
even though the wheel is spinning.
Spanish translation (same cues)
112
00:07:41,200 --> 00:07:44,050
Antes de abrir el cuenco,
el barro tiene que estar bien centrado.
113
00:07:44,300 --> 00:07:47,900
Apoya el codo izquierdo en la rodilla
y empuja con la base de la mano.
114
00:07:48,100 --> 00:07:51,350
Si el barro tiembla bajo tu palma,
todavía no está listo.
115
00:07:51,600 --> 00:07:54,800
[ALUMNA] ¿Cuánto tiempo sigo empujando?
116
00:07:55,000 --> 00:07:59,400
Hasta que parezca quieto,
aunque el torno siga girando.

- Terms: "leather-hard" translated as dureza de cuero, the term used by Spanish-speaking potters.
- To check: at 14:22 the teacher names a glaze brand quietly; marked as [glaze name] since it's not clearly audible.
Client: Clay Corner, a small pottery studio with a video channel. Video: "Throwing your first bowl", 24 min 10 s. Ordered: English subtitles plus a Spanish translation. Delivered as two SRT files, one per language.
The client and all details are made up.
About this service
When you love a song in Korean, Portuguese or Turkish, or plan to cover it, you want to know what it really says. We write out the sung lyrics from a link to the track in their original language and translate them line by line into yours, timed to the music. Sung words under loud instruments are harder to catch than speech, so tracks with clear vocals give the fullest lyrics.

Questions and answers
Will the translation rhyme so I can sing it?
No. It follows the meaning of each line as closely as possible; a singable rhymed version is a separate creative task.
Can I publish the lyrics or the translation?
Lyrics belong to the songwriters and their publishers. Use the text for yourself or for learning, and ask the rights holder before posting it.
Some words differ from the official lyrics. What then?
Words under loud music can be misheard. If you know the official lyrics, point out the lines that differ and we correct them within your revisions.
