English subtitles (fragment)
112
00:07:41,200 --> 00:07:44,050
Before you open the bowl,
the clay has to be perfectly centered.
113
00:07:44,300 --> 00:07:47,900
Brace your left elbow on your knee
and push in with the heel of your hand.
114
00:07:48,100 --> 00:07:51,350
If the clay wobbles against your palm,
it's not there yet.
115
00:07:51,600 --> 00:07:54,800
[STUDENT] How long do I keep pushing?
116
00:07:55,000 --> 00:07:59,400
Until it feels like it's standing still,
even though the wheel is spinning.
Spanish translation (same cues)
112
00:07:41,200 --> 00:07:44,050
Antes de abrir el cuenco,
el barro tiene que estar bien centrado.
113
00:07:44,300 --> 00:07:47,900
Apoya el codo izquierdo en la rodilla
y empuja con la base de la mano.
114
00:07:48,100 --> 00:07:51,350
Si el barro tiembla bajo tu palma,
todavía no está listo.
115
00:07:51,600 --> 00:07:54,800
[ALUMNA] ¿Cuánto tiempo sigo empujando?
116
00:07:55,000 --> 00:07:59,400
Hasta que parezca quieto,
aunque el torno siga girando.

- To check: at 14:22 the teacher names a glaze brand quietly; marked as [glaze name] since it's not clearly audible.

The client and all details are made up.

Questions and answers
Will the transcript say who is speaking?
No, lines are not labelled by speaker. In a two-person interview questions and answers are easy to follow; add names where you quote.
Can I publish quotes from the translation?
It is a faithful working translation. For quotes in print, check the key lines against the original track, which is why both come with timings.
Does an audio-only recording work?
Yes. A link to an audio file in cloud storage or on a podcast page works if it opens without signing in.
