  • Technical terms checked for consistency: centering, coning, trimming, leather-hard.

English subtitles (fragment)

112
00:07:41,200 --> 00:07:44,050
Before you open the bowl,
the clay has to be perfectly centered.

113
00:07:44,300 --> 00:07:47,900
Brace your left elbow on your knee
and push in with the heel of your hand.

114
00:07:48,100 --> 00:07:51,350
If the clay wobbles against your palm,
it's not there yet.

115
00:07:51,600 --> 00:07:54,800
[STUDENT] How long do I keep pushing?

116
00:07:55,000 --> 00:07:59,400
Until it feels like it's standing still,
even though the wheel is spinning.

Spanish translation (same cues)

112
00:07:41,200 --> 00:07:44,050
Antes de abrir el cuenco,
el barro tiene que estar bien centrado.

113
00:07:44,300 --> 00:07:47,900
Apoya el codo izquierdo en la rodilla
y empuja con la base de la mano.

114
00:07:48,100 --> 00:07:51,350
Si el barro tiembla bajo tu palma,
todavía no está listo.

115
00:07:51,600 --> 00:07:54,800
[ALUMNA] ¿Cuánto tiempo sigo empujando?

116
00:07:55,000 --> 00:07:59,400
Hasta que parezca quieto,
aunque el torno siga girando.

Delivery notes

  • Files: clay-corner-first-bowl_en.srt (318 cues), clay-corner-first-bowl_es.srt (318 cues). Timings are identical, so the two tracks can be switched without drift.
  • Terms: "leather-hard" translated as dureza de cuero, the term used by Spanish-speaking potters.
  • To check: at 14:22 the teacher names a glaze brand quietly; marked as [glaze name] since it's not clearly audible.

Client: Clay Corner, a small pottery studio with a video channel. Video: "Throwing your first bowl", 24 min 10 s. Ordered: English subtitles plus a Spanish translation. Delivered as two SRT files, one per language.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

Spanish opens a video to viewers from Mexico to Madrid, but they do not speak it the same way, and a Spain-style "vosotros" sounds odd in Bogotá. We transcribe your English video from its link and translate each line into the Spanish you choose: neutral Latin American, Mexican or Spain Spanish, with "tú" or "usted" to match how you speak to customers. You get English captions and Spanish subtitles timed to the same moments.

What is included

  • What you getEnglish captions and Spanish subtitles for your video, each as timed SRT and VTT files, plus a TXT transcript in both languages.

  • Tú or ustedFriendly or formal, as your brand speaks
  • English captions includedFor viewers who watch without sound

What we need from you

A link to the video that opens without signing in, the country or region of your Spanish-speaking viewers, "tú" or "usted", and the product or brand names that stay in English.

We will ask you:

  • Where do your Spanish-speaking viewers live?
  • Should viewers be addressed as tú or usted?
  • Which product or brand names stay in English?
  • Where will the Spanish version be shown?

Questions and answers

Is Spanish longer than English on screen?

Usually by about a fifth. Lines keep the timing of the speech, so the translation is worded tightly to stay readable.

What happens to jokes and idioms?

They are translated for meaning, not word for word. Mention in the brief any phrase that must stay in English, such as a slogan.

Can I reuse the Spanish text?

Yes. The Spanish TXT transcript can be edited into a video description, a blog post or an email for your Spanish-speaking list.
