About this service

A thesis or dissertation list is long, mixes many source types and has to be consistent across every chapter, often by a university standard on top of a named style. We format and sort the whole list by your style and university rules, split it into sections such as primary and secondary sources or archives if your rules require it, and remove duplicates that crept in between chapters. We do not look sources up online, so every entry missing data is listed for you.

What is included

  • What you getA complete, consistent bibliography for your thesis, sorted and sectioned by your rules, with a list of entries missing data and duplicates removed; Premium also checks the citations in your chapters against the list. You get it as text on the order page and as a Word (.docx) file.
  • One list for all chaptersDuplicates merged, spelling of names unified
  • SectionsPrimary, secondary, archives, web, if required
  • Mixed languagesCyrillic and Latin entries ordered by your rules
  • University rulesYour guide's quirks on top of the style

How it works

  1. 1
SourcesYou send the list and university guide
  2. 2
    BibliographyWe format, merge and sort
  3. 3
GapsYou fill in the missing data

What we need from you

Your sources as text or in a Word, PDF or Excel file (a reference manager export works too), the style and your university's formatting guide, and for Premium the chapters.

We will ask you:

  • Which style and which university guide apply?
  • Should the list be split into sections?
  • Are your sources in more than one language?
  • Do you use Zotero, Mendeley or EndNote?

Questions and answers

Can you work with GOST rules for Russian theses?

Yes. Name the GOST standard your university uses and paste its examples from the guide, since requirements vary between universities.

My list has 300 sources. Can you take it?

Premium covers up to 200. For a longer list, order two packages and split the list by sections or chapters.

Can you send the list as an EndNote or Zotero file?

No. You get formatted text and a Word file; the reference manager library stays yours.

Do you look up missing details online?

No, we work only with what you send. Every source without a year, pages, DOI or publisher goes into a list, you add the details, and we update the entry within your revisions.
