Notifications screen in your app's style

Example result

Example for the Standard package

Mobile version of a bakery site from a desktop screenshot

Before: the desktop homepage

The desktop screenshot

After: the phone screen

The mobile homepage mock-up

File: PNG mock-up, about 1.5 megapixels. A picture of the design for the client's developer, not HTML code or a Figma file.

Client: Crumb & Kettle, a neighbourhood bakery. Task: show how their homepage should look on a phone, keeping the fonts, colours, button and photos of the desktop site.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

A notifications screen, often called the activity feed or inbox, lists what happened since the user last looked: items grouped by Today, This week and Earlier, an icon or avatar on each row, a short line and the time, unread dots, a Mark all as read action and a link to notification settings, plus a calm empty state for when there is nothing new. Upload a screenshot of your app, and we draw the screen in its colours, fonts and list style, with sample notification lines from your brief. You get PNG mock-ups of about 1.5 megapixels, each made from one of your screenshots and always upright 2:3, about 1024 x 1536 pixels, whatever the shape of your upload, so a wide screenshot also becomes a phone screen; they are not app code or a Figma, Sketch or XD file.

How it works

  1. 1
Events and screenshotYou upload your app and send sample notifications
  2. 2
Notifications screenWe draw the grouped feed and icons in your app's style
  3. 3
Check and reviseYou check the lines and ask for changes within your package

What we need from you

Up to 5 sharp screenshots of your app as PNG, JPEG or WebP (no PDF), one screen each, and only files you have the right to use; another app's feed guides only the style. Give five to eight short sample notifications with times and the kinds of events your app sends, using made-up names; Latin-script languages draw most cleanly, and you check the spelling.

We will ask you:

  • Which kinds of notifications does your app send?
  • Which sample lines should the feed show?
  • How should notifications be grouped?
  • Do you need the empty state or the settings page too?

Questions and answers

Can you design the push notifications on the lock screen?

The lock screen look is set by iOS or Android, not by your app: only the title, text and app icon come from you. This offer covers your in-app notifications screen, its empty state and settings, not the phone's system screens.

What sample notifications should I give?

Five to eight short lines that match your app, such as "Your order has shipped" or "Anna replied to your comment", with times. Use made-up names, not real customers' data, and keep lines short; small text can come out imperfect, so check it.

Do I get files for my developer?

PNG pictures only, not app code and not a Figma, Sketch or XD file. Your developer builds the feed from the picture and connects it to your real notifications.

What about avatars and other content?

Avatars are neutral placeholders such as initials, never real people. We add no other brands' logos, invented likes, ratings or reviews and never change documents. The picture is redrawn, so small icons and your logo may shift slightly.
