About this service
Photograph pages of a printed book, and we type them into continuous, editable text: words split by hyphens at line ends are joined, running headers and page numbers are removed, and italics, chapter headings and footnotes are kept in place. Useful for out-of-print books, old editions with no digital copy, or quoting a long passage in your own work.

Can you type a whole book?
One order covers up to 20 pages from up to 5 photos of spreads. For a longer book, place several orders in sequence.
Is it legal to type a book?
Please only send books you have the right to copy, such as public domain works or passages for personal study. You are responsible for how the text is used.
Will the layout look like the book?
No, you get clean text with headings and paragraphs. Fonts and page design are not reproduced.
