About this service

If you are speaking for yourself at a hearing, the hardest part is saying the important things in the few minutes you get and finding the right document when the judge asks. From your claim, defence and papers we prepare a one-page summary of your case, your key points in order of weight, questions to ask the other side or their witness and an index of your evidence with page numbers. We also list the questions the judge is likely to ask you, with notes on how the facts answer them.

What is included

  • What you getHearing notes with a one-page case summary, ordered key points, questions for the other side, likely questions from the judge and an evidence index, as text and a Word (.docx) file. This is a draft for information, not legal advice: court rules and forms differ by country and court, so check them (ideally with a lawyer) and file it yourself.
  • Case on one pageWhat happened and what you ask for
  • Key points rankedStrongest first, each tied to evidence
  • Questions to askFor the other side or their witness
  • Judge's likely questionsWith the facts that answer them
  • Evidence indexEach document with its page number

What we need from you

Your claim or defence and the other side's papers as PDF or Word, the list of your evidence, the date and type of hearing, how long you expect to speak and what result you are asking for.

We will ask you:

  • What kind of hearing is it and when?
  • What result are you asking the court for?
  • What is the other side's main argument?
  • How much time will you have to speak?

Questions and answers

Is this legal advice?

No. These are preparation notes from your papers. Hearing procedure differs by court, so ask the court office what to expect and consider advice from a lawyer.

Can you rehearse the hearing with me?

No, there are no calls or live sessions. You get written notes and a list of likely questions to practise on your own.

Do I bring these notes to court?

They are for you to speak from. Whether you may hand anything to the judge, such as a written summary, depends on the court's rules.

Will this help me win?

We cannot promise any outcome. A clear, well-ordered document helps the court follow your side; the decision belongs to the judge.
