Host lines (opening)

Tom (in captain's hat): "Ahoy, crew! I'm Captain Redbeard, and this morning a seagull dropped this on our deck." (holds up a torn map) "Half a map! Legend says the other half is hidden right here, guarded by riddles only real pirates can solve. Are you real pirates?" (kids shout "Aye!") "I can't hear you over the waves!" (louder "AYE!") "Then earn your gold. Three trials, one treasure. Crews, to your ships!"

Games and contests

Cannonball relay (20 min)

Each crew carries water balloons on a big spoon to their "ship" (a hula hoop) 10 metres away. A dropped "cannonball" goes back to the start. The crew with the most balloons in 3 minutes wins a map piece. Rain option: use ping-pong balls indoors.

Knots & riddles (20 min)

Two tasks per crew: tie a simple knot from a picture card, and solve 3 riddles. Example: "I have a bed but never sleep, a mouth but never eat. What am I?" (A river.)

Treasure hunt (35 min)

Five clues in rhyme lead around the yard. Clue 1: "Where green things grow and the hose sleeps tight, look under the pot that's painted white." The last clue leads to a chest with gold coin bags for everyone — no crew loses.

Props list

  • 16 bandanas, name tags, captain's hat
  • Torn map in 4 pieces, 5 rhyme clue cards
  • 4 hula hoops, 4 large spoons, 40 water balloons
  • Small chest, 16 bags of chocolate coins

Backup ideas

  • If a game ends early: "Captain says" (pirate version of Simon says)
  • If kids get tired: quiet "message in a bottle" drawing at the table

About this service

A launch event is built around one moment: when the product is revealed. We write the program for your guests, whether press, partners, dealers or customers, so everything leads up to that moment and keeps them talking after: doors and welcome, the host's opening, the founder's key lines, the reveal with a countdown or curtain drop, demo stations and a Q&A. If the event is streamed, we time it for viewers online as well.

What is included

  • What you getAn event scenario with times, the host's script, key lines for the founder, a staged reveal, a demo station plan and a likely press questions list, as formatted text on the order page.

What we need from you

The product and its key message, who the guests are, the venue and the tech for the reveal, the speakers and whether you stream or have an embargo.

We will ask you:

  • What are you launching, and what is the one message guests should remember?
  • Who are the guests?
  • What tech does the venue have for the reveal?
  • Will it be streamed, or is there an embargo?

Questions and answers

Do you write the founder's full keynote?

We write its structure and key lines. A full keynote text is a separate speech service in our catalog.

Can you include product claims?

Only the facts and figures you give us. Claims about performance or comparisons with rivals should be checked by your team before the event.

Is this the same as a launch slide deck?

No, this is the event program. If you also need slides for the stage, order our product launch deck offer.
