Welcome and spring sale emails for a ceramics shop
Client: Juniper & Oak, a small online shop of handmade ceramics and home goods. Task: two emails for their mailing service: a welcome email with 10% off the first order and a spring sale email with 20% off vases and planters, in sand, terracotta and olive.
The client and all details are made up.
About this service
A blog digest brings readers back to your site: each article gets a card with a picture, its title, a two-line teaser and a Read more link. We write the teasers from the titles and short summaries you give, add an intro line and, if you like, one featured article on top, and build the email in your colours. Pictures are drawn for the email in one style, or your own article images are used when you upload them. Tables 600 px wide with inline styles, one column on phones, a footer with your details and an unsubscribe link placeholder. The digest does not pull new posts from your blog: each issue is made from your brief. We do not send it.
What is included
- What you getA ZIP archive with the HTML of each digest and its pictures, and a preview on the order page.
- Article cardsPicture, title, teaser and a Read more link for each article
- Featured articleOne article on top with a larger picture, if you want it
- Teasers written for youTwo lines per article from your summary, inviting a click
- Built for email programsTables and inline styles, 600 px wide, one column on phones
- Unsubscribe linkA placeholder in the footer that you replace with your service's own link
How it works
- 1ArticlesYou list the articles with titles, links and a few sentences on each
- 2Digest and previewWe write the teasers, draw the pictures and build the digest for you to look through
- 3ArchiveYou download the archive and ask for changes within your package
What we need from you
For each article, its title, full link and two or three sentences about what it says; which one should be featured, any intro line, who reads your blog, and the sender's details for the footer. Optionally up to 5 pictures as PNG, JPEG or WebP: your logo and article images you have the right to use. We work from what you send and do not copy articles from other sites.
We will ask you:
- Which articles go in?
- Which article is the main one?
- Who reads the blog?
- Sender's details for the footer

Questions and answers
How many articles fit in one digest?
Four to six cards read well on a phone. A longer list is better as two digests or a link to your blog's main page.
Will the digest fill itself with new posts?
No: it is not linked to your blog. Each issue is a ready email made from your brief, and next time you can swap the titles, links and pictures in the HTML yourself.
Will you rewrite my articles?
No, only short teasers for the cards. The articles stay on your site as they are.
Can the digest have a sponsor block?
Yes: a block with the sponsor's text, a picture they let you use and a link, marked as advertising if you want. We do not draw other brands' logos ourselves.
Can it include a video from the blog?
Email programs do not play video, so the card gets a picture with a play sign that leads to the video on your site.
