Example result
Telegram bot for booking haircuts at a barbershop
The bot in Telegram
A part of the code
async def booking_done(update: Update, context: ContextTypes.DEFAULT_TYPE) -> int:
"""The last step of the form: thanks the client and passes the request on."""
request = context.user_data["booking"]
request["phone"] = update.message.text.strip()
await update.message.reply_text(TEXTS["booking_thanks"], reply_markup=main_menu())
await context.bot.send_message(settings.admin_chat_id, format_request(request))
sheet.append_row([datetime.now().isoformat(timespec="minutes"), *request.values()])
return ConversationHandler.END
All the answers and buttons are in texts.yaml, so the client changes a price or the hours without touching the code.
Files: a ZIP archive with bot.py, texts.yaml, settings.example.env (where the bot token and the sheet go, filled in by the client), requirements.txt and a README: creating the bot in Telegram, connecting the Google Sheet and running it on a small server or hosting. The bot sends the request but does not check the barbers' calendar: the owner confirms the time.
Client: a barbershop with 3 barbers that took bookings only by phone. Task: a Telegram bot with a menu: prices, address and hours, a booking form (service, day and time, name, phone) that sends each request to the owner's chat and adds it to a Google Sheet.
The client and all details are made up.
About this service
Game nights, study sessions and community calls only work when people remember them. This Discord bot keeps your schedule: a slash command shows upcoming events and how they work. From Standard, members sign up for an event by a short form or offer to host one, and each sign-up goes to a channel of yours and a Google Sheet. In Premium, admin commands add, change or cancel events, and the bot posts a reminder in the channel you choose, say, a day and an hour before, mentioning a role or the members who signed up. Each member sees the time in their own time zone. The bot does not sync with Discord's Events tab or outside calendars and takes no payments. The README shows how to create it on Discord's Applications page, invite it and run it on your computer, server or a hosting with Python. It must be running for reminders to go out; hosting and the token are yours.

Questions and answers
Does it use Discord's own Events tab?
No. It keeps its own schedule from your settings and admin commands and posts reminders in a channel; it does not read or create Discord's scheduled events or outside calendars.
Do I need Premium for reminders?
Yes. Reminders before events are part of Premium. Basic shows the schedule, and Standard adds sign-up forms.
Can it DM members?
Only members who opened a chat with the bot, and only within Discord's rules. Otherwise it posts in your channels with a role mention.
What about time zones?
Event times are set in one time zone of your choice. Reminders show the time as a Discord timestamp, which each member sees in their own local time.
Where does it run?
On your computer, server or a hosting with Python; if it is off, reminders don't go out. The token stays with you; payments and WhatsApp are not part of this service.
