Sweatshirt turned into a flat lay
Client: a small clothing brand preparing a new collection page. Task: turn a crumpled photo of a sweatshirt on a bed into a neat flat lay on light wood, with sneakers and jeans as styling.
The client and all details are made up.
About this service
For children's clothing, a flat lay is the safe and usual choice: the item is shown on its own, with no child in the picture, and parents see the size, the print and the snaps at a glance. Send a photo of a bodysuit, romper, dress, pyjamas or a small set, and we lay it out neatly from above on a soft plain or textured background, with props such as a soft toy, a rattle or tiny shoes if you want them. Each picture is made from one of your photos as a PNG of about 1.5 megapixels for listings and social media, not for large prints; it is redrawn, so snaps, small appliqués and prints can change slightly.

How it works
- 1Your photosYou upload the items and give the age or size
- 2Laid outWe lay out each item or set neatly on a soft background
- 3PNG and revisionsYou check the details and ask for changes within your package
What we need from you
Up to 5 photos as PNG, JPEG or WebP, one item or one set per photo, smoothed and fully in the frame; a photo of the item alone is best. Tell us the age or size, the background and the props, and say if a set must stay together. Send only photos you have the right to use, with the permission of anyone shown in them.
We will ask you:
- What is the item and which age or size?
- Should a set stay together in one picture?
- Which background and props do you want?

Questions and answers
Can you show the clothes on a child?
No, we never show children as models. A flat lay or ghost mannequin shows the item on its own, and Amazon, for example, asks for kids' and baby clothing to be shown off a model; check the marketplace's current rules.
Will the props look like part of the set?
Props are decor only. If a toy or shoes could be mistaken for part of what the buyer gets, ask for no props or tell us which pieces are included.
Can I send a photo of my child wearing the item?
You can, but the finished picture shows only the item, never the child. A photo of the item lying flat or on a hanger usually gives a cleaner result.
Can you hide a stain on a second-hand item?
No, we show the item as the buyer will get it and do not hide stains, faded prints or missing snaps. We also never make ID or document photos or change documents and receipts, show no nudity, never put in a celebrity or another real person, and always give the picture a full background, so a cut-out file without one is not available.
