About this service
We turn black-and-white and sepia photos into natural colour: skin, hair, eyes, clothes, the sky and the room around. Real colours can't be read from a grey print, so we pick believable ones for the era and follow everything you tell us, from a blue dress to brown eyes, and we clean scratches and dust on the way. Each picture is made from one of your photos as a PNG of about 1.5 megapixels, good for screens, posts and small prints but not for large ones.
What is included
- What you getYou get 1, 3 or 5 colourized pictures as PNG files of about 1.5 megapixels, one per photo in your package. With one photo in a bigger package you get colour variants to choose from.

How it works
- 1UploadYou send the photos and the colours you know
- 2ColouringWe clean the photo and add natural colour
- 3Choose and reviseYou pick the version you like and ask for changes
What we need from you
Up to 5 black-and-white or sepia photos as PNG, JPEG or WebP, as sharp as you can get them. List any colours you know or want (eyes, hair, a uniform, a car, the wallpaper), the country and decade, and where the colour photos will go.
We will ask you:
- What is in the photo, and from which decade?
- Which colours do you know for sure?
- Should we also fix damage?

Questions and answers
How do you know what colours to use?
We don't know the real ones; a grey print only shows how light or dark each part was. We choose colours that fit the period and the light, and anything you tell us takes priority.
Will the photo still look like the original?
Yes, the people and the scene stay the same, but the picture is redrawn, so small details, signs and faces can shift slightly. If a face looks less like the person, ask for a revision.
Can I get a black-and-white copy back too?
Each picture in your package is one result, so say in the brief if you want one of them restored in black and white and the others in colour.
Which photos can't you colourize?
We don't colourize document photos or papers and never change certificates, IDs or receipts. No nudity, no faces swapped for a celebrity or anyone else, and only photos you have the right to use, with the agreement of the people shown. Heavily damaged areas are recreated during colouring, not restored exactly.
