About this service
We restore photos of relatives in uniform, from wartime portraits to service and barracks pictures: cracks, stains and fading go, and the face, the uniform and the cap come back clear. Insignia, medals and badges are tiny on most prints, so they may come out slightly different, and we never add awards, ranks or decorations the photo does not show. Each picture is made from one of your photos as a PNG of about 1.5 megapixels, good for a tribute post, a memorial board or a small frame, not for a large print.
What is included
- What you getYou get 1, 3 or 5 restored service photos as PNG files of about 1.5 megapixels, one per photo in your package, kept black-and-white or colourized. With fewer photos than the package has, the rest are variants of the same one.

How it works
- 1Service photosYou upload the photos and tell us what you know
- 2Careful restorationWe repair the damage and keep the uniform as it is
- 3Check and reviseYou compare with the original and ask for changes
What we need from you
Up to 5 photos as PNG, JPEG or WebP, front and back scanned separately if the back has writing you want us to know about. Tell us the country, the years and the branch of service if you know them, the colours of the uniform and what the photo is for.
We will ask you:
- Who is in the photo, and when was it taken?
- What should we fix?
- Should we colourize, and what colours was the uniform?
- Where will the photo be used?

Questions and answers
Will the medals and insignia be exact?
Not always. They are small, and the picture is redrawn, so shapes and markings can shift; check them against the original. Don't rely on the result to identify a unit, rank or award: keep your original scan for research.
How accurate are the colours of the uniform?
They are a careful guess based on what you tell us. Name the country, the years and the branch, and any colours known in the family, and we follow them.
Can you restore service records or award papers too?
No. We never change documents, certificates or papers of any kind, and we don't make photos for IDs. We also don't add nudity or swap the face for anyone else; send photos of your own family or ones you have the right to use. Parts that are completely lost are recreated, not restored exactly.
