About this service

A square 1:1 post, 1080 x 1080 pixels on Instagram, is the easiest way to keep a feed neat, but squeezing a wide group photo or a tall full-length outfit photo into a square usually cuts someone off. Instead of white borders or a hard crop, we extend the photo's edges so the whole scene fills the square naturally. The profile grid now shows posts as taller thumbnails and trims the sides, so we keep the subject in the centre where every view shows it.

What is included

  • What you getYour photos refitted to a 1:1 square as PNG files of about 1.5 megapixels, one per format in your package, ready to post. Each picture is made from one of your photos, with the extended edges matching its light.
  • Clean 1:1 squaresNo white borders, no cut-off friends
  • Grid-safe centreSubject placed where the profile grid shows it
  • Wide and tall photosGroup photos and full-length outfits both fit
  • Consistent feedAll posts in the same shape and framing
  • 4:5 on requestA taller feed version counts as another format

What we need from you

Up to 5 photos (PNG, JPEG or WebP) you have the right to use, with the permission of the people in them. Tell us which photos go into squares, what must stay in view and whether you also want a 4:5 version for the feed. We don't refit passport or ID photos, never change documents or receipts, and don't work with nudity or face swaps.

We will ask you:

  • Which photos should become squares?
  • What must stay fully in view?
  • Do you also want a 4:5 version?

Questions and answers

Why not just add white borders?

Borders work but make the photo smaller in the feed and the grid. Extending the edges with recreated scenery uses the whole square, so your photo looks bigger on the screen.

Is a square still the best shape for Instagram?

Squares are tidy and work everywhere, but a 4:5 vertical takes more screen space in the feed. Many accounts use 4:5 for single posts and squares for carousels and shop images.

Can a carousel keep the same look?

Yes, with Standard or Premium every photo of the carousel is refitted to the same square. Instagram crops all carousel slides to the shape of the first one, so a set of squares avoids surprises.

Will faces in a group photo change?

They stay recognizable, but in a group the faces are small, and small details can shift slightly when the picture is redrawn. Ask for a revision if someone looks off.
