About this service
A website hero banner is usually far wider than any photo, often 16:9, 21:9 or 3:1, so a normal photo gets cropped to a strip of foreheads or stretched. We extend your photo of the shop, product, team or view sideways into the shape your site template asks for, keeping the subject whole and leaving clean space for the headline and button. On phones many templates crop the banner to the centre, so we place what matters there.
What is included
- What you getYour photos refitted to banner proportions as PNG files of about 1.5 megapixels, one per format in your package, ready to add text and place on your site. Each picture is made from one of your photos, with the extended areas matching its light and texture.
- Any banner shape16:9, 21:9, 3:1 or what your template asks
- Headline spaceCalm area behind your text and button
- Mobile-safe centreKey subject placed where phone crops keep it
- Text contrastDarker or lighter space to suit your text colour

How it works
- 1UploadYou upload photos and send your banner proportions
- 2Banner refitWe extend each photo to the wide shape with room for text
- 3PNG and revisionsYou download the banners and ask for changes within your package
What we need from you
Up to 5 photos (PNG, JPEG or WebP) you have the right to use, with the permission of the people in them. Tell us the banner proportion or size your site builder recommends, where the headline and button go, and whether the banner sits behind dark or light text. We don't refit passport or ID photos, never change documents or receipts, and don't work with nudity or face swaps.
We will ask you:
- Which proportion does your site need?
- Where will the headline and button sit?
- Will the text on top be dark or light?

Questions and answers
Will the banner load fast?
A PNG of about 1.5 megapixels can be heavy for a web page. Convert it to WebP or JPG in your editor or site builder, which usually cuts the file size a lot.
Is it sharp enough on a big monitor?
On laptops and normal monitors it looks fine; on very large or high-density screens a full-width banner may look a little soft. A photo with a softer background hides this best.
Can you put our headline on the banner?
The banner comes without text, because text on a web page should stay real text for search and accessibility. Your site builder places the headline over it.
Are the extended parts of the shop real?
No, they are recreated to continue the photo, so they show what could be there. Customers may visit, so avoid the impression of a bigger shop than you have; the picture is redrawn, so faces and small details can also shift slightly.
