About this service
YouTube covers are 16:9, so a vertical phone photo or a tight portrait leaves empty bars or loses half the face when cropped. We extend the photo sideways with more of the room, studio or landscape, placing you or the product to one side so there is room for the big title you add yourself. The bottom-right corner is covered by the video length stamp, so we keep faces and key objects out of it.
What is included
- What you getYour photos refitted to 16:9 as PNG files of about 1.5 megapixels, one per format in your package, ready to add a title and upload as a video cover. Each picture is made from one of your photos, with clean space where your text will go.
- Widescreen 16:9Vertical and square photos become full-width covers
- Title spaceA clean side of the frame for three or four big words
- Clear of the timestampNothing important in the bottom-right corner
- Reads on a phoneSubject large enough to recognize at small size
- A cover per videoPremium refits five photos for a run of uploads
How it works
- 1UploadYou upload photos and tell us where the title goes
- 2Widescreen refitWe extend each photo to 16:9 with room for your text
- 3PNG and revisionsYou download the covers and ask for changes within your package
What we need from you
Up to 5 photos (PNG, JPEG or WebP) you have the right to use, with the permission of the people in them. Tell us which side the title will go on, whether you or the product should sit left or right, and the topic of the video. We don't refit passport or ID photos, never change documents or receipts, and don't work with nudity or face swaps.
We will ask you:
- What is the video about?
- Where will your title go?
- Should you or the product sit left or right?

Questions and answers
Will you add the title text?
No, we leave a clean area and you add the title in your thumbnail editor. That way you can test different titles on the same picture.
Is the file small enough to upload?
YouTube accepts covers up to 2 MB and recommends 1280 x 720 pixels. If the PNG is larger, export it as JPG at that size from your editor and it will upload fine.
Can you make my face look more surprised?
This offer refits the frame rather than changing expressions, and faces stay as in your photo, though the picture is redrawn, so small details can change slightly. Pick the photo with the strongest expression you have.
Is the extended part of the room real?
No, it is recreated to continue your photo, so a shelf or window at the edge may not exist in your real room. For a cover that is usually fine, but don't use it to show a product feature it lacks.
