Findings (excerpt)

1. Duplicate and weak titles (high priority)

11 service pages use the pattern "Plumbing Services | Northgate". Searchers and search engines cannot tell "boiler repair" from "drain unblocking".

PageCurrent titleSuggested title
/boiler-repairPlumbing Services, NorthgateBoiler Repair in [City], Same-Day Callout, Northgate
/blocked-drainsPlumbing Services, NorthgateBlocked Drains Cleared in [City] from £89, Northgate

2. Town pages are near duplicates (high priority)

The 7 town pages are 94% identical text. Each needs at least 250 words unique to that town: areas covered, typical jobs there, travel time, a local customer review.

3. Slow service pages on mobile (medium)

Hero images average 1.9 MB. Compressing to WebP and setting width to 1,200 px would bring load time to about 2.5 s.

4. Blog does not pass value to services (medium)

The top 10 posts get 62% of organic visits, but only 2 of them link to a service page. "Why is my boiler losing pressure?" alone gets about 1,100 visits a month and links nowhere.

5. Tag pages indexed (low)

38 /tag/ pages with 1–3 posts each. Set them to noindex.

About this service

An online store wins search with its category pages first, product pages second and content third, and most stores invest in the wrong order: blog posts while categories have no text, or thousands of products with manufacturer descriptions. We review your store and its main competitors in search and write a strategy that sets priorities for the category structure, which filter pages deserve to be indexable, product page templates, content that supports buying queries and the technical work that unblocks all of it. Each priority comes with the effort it takes and what it should change.

What we need from you

A link to the store, the platform, the product range and number of products, three main competitors, the countries you sell in, your monthly budget or team for SEO and your top-margin categories.

Questions and answers

Is this the same as an SEO audit?

No. An audit lists problems on the site; the strategy decides what to invest in and in what order to grow search sales. It flags the major technical blockers but is not a full audit.

Do you include keyword research?

We use the main query groups for your categories to set priorities. A full keyword list is a separate order.

Will this increase my sales?

It gives you the plan most likely to grow search traffic for your store, but results depend on doing the work, competition and time. No one can promise figures.
