Negatives to add

The "Negatives" sheet has 38 words with match types, ready to paste. The main ones: "how to" (phrase), "wholesale" and "bulk" (broad), "free plants" (phrase), "ideas" (phrase), "diy" (broad), and the 14 shop names (exact).

Not added: "free" on its own, because "free shipping plant pots" brought 9 sales.

Ads to rewrite

Self-watering pots: click rate 1.9% against 4.6% for the account; the headlines say "Shop Now" and never mention self-watering.

About this service

Google Ad Grants accounts must follow program rules: an account click-through rate of at least 5% each month, no single-word keywords outside a few allowed cases, no keywords with a Quality Score of 1 or 2, and at least two ad groups with two ads in each campaign plus sitelinks. We read your keywords, search terms and ads reports, check them against the rules as published at the time of the review and find what puts the account at risk or spends the grant on searches that never turn into donors, volunteers or people you help. You get keywords to pause or replace, new ads and a change list ordered by urgency.

What is included

  • What you getA Word summary of rule risks and wasted grant spend, and an Excel workbook with keywords to pause or replace, negatives, new ads within Google limits and an urgent-first change list. Delivered as a Word (.docx) summary and an Excel (.xlsx) workbook.

What we need from you

Keywords (with Quality Score columns), search terms and ads reports as CSV, Excel (.xlsx) or PDF, or screenshots; your mission, programs, site link and what counts as a conversion: a donation, sign-up or volunteer form.

We will ask you:

  • Which actions on your site matter most?
  • Has Google warned you about the account?
  • Which programs or locations should the ads promote?
  • Do you also have a paid Google Ads account?

Questions and answers

Can you get my suspended account back?

No, reactivation requests go from you to Google. We show what to fix so the account meets the rules before you ask for a review.

Are the program rules always the same?

Google updates them from time to time. We check the current Ad Grants policy pages during the review and say which rule each change relates to.

Why not just add more keywords?

Broad, generic keywords pull the CTR below 5% and often get low Quality Scores. A shorter list of specific keywords is usually easier to keep within the rules and brings more relevant visitors.
