What the numbers say
- Months 1–2 are the tight spot. Cash drops to about $2,900 in month 2. Keep at least $3,000 in reserve or delay one hire until month 3.
- Summer carries the year. Months 5–9 bring about two-thirds of annual profit, so plan marketing and staff holidays around them.
- Price matters more than volume. Raising the average check by $0.50 lifts year 1 profit by about $16,900; selling 10% more cups adds about $15,000.
- Payback. At the current pace, the $38,000 start-up spend is covered in roughly 13 months.
All formulas are live in the Excel file: change any yellow cell on the Assumptions sheet and every month updates.

About this service
Moving to a new city costs money twice: once for the move itself, with deposits, movers, travel, visas and the weeks of double rent, and again every month after, because rent, transport, groceries and childcare are priced differently there. We collect current prices for the destination from public sources with links and put them next to your present spending. You see the one-off cost, the new monthly budget and how much cash to have ready before you go.
What is included
- What you getA one-off moving budget, a monthly budget for the new city next to your current one, the cash needed upfront and a list of sources with links and dates, as text and as XLSX and DOCX files. Prices are as of the order date and the result is a plan, not financial advice.

Questions and answers
How current are the prices?
They are taken on the order date from rental listings, transport operators and price surveys, each with a link. Rents move fast, so check listings again before you sign.
Do you cover visas and taxes in the new country?
We list official fees for permits from government sites. How your taxes change is a question for an accountant there; we do not give tax advice.
Can you compare a job offer salary with the new costs?
Yes. Give us the offered salary after tax, and the budget shows what is left each month compared with today.
