Is this legal advice?
No. We prepare the notice text. If the other side files a counter-notice or you consider a lawsuit, talk to a lawyer.
Can I send it about content I do not own?
No. Only the rights holder or their authorized agent should send a DMCA notice, and false claims can have legal consequences.
Does it work outside the US?
Many hosts and platforms worldwide accept DMCA-style notices. Where they do not, the same facts suit their own copyright form.
