6. Termination

6.1 Either party may end this Agreement with [7] days' written notice. 6.2 The Client pays for work completed up to the termination date; the deposit is non-refundable once design work has begun.

Review checklist before signing

  • Appendix A lists every page and feature you agreed on by email.
  • The deposit percentage and late-payment terms match how you actually work.
  • The liability cap and termination terms are acceptable under the law of [COUNTRY/STATE]; a local lawyer can confirm this.
  • Hosting and domain: decide who pays and add a clause if you manage them.
  • Both parties' legal names are written exactly as registered.

This is a template to adapt to your business, not legal advice.

Client: Lena Park, a freelance web designer trading as Park Studio Design. Template for one-off website projects. Fields in [BRACKETS] are filled in for each new client.

The client and all details are made up.

About this service

No-shows and last-minute cancellations cost salons, studios and tutors real money, and a clear written policy is what lets you charge a deposit or a fee without arguments. We write booking rules that fit how you work: how far ahead clients must cancel, what happens to a deposit, late arrivals, rescheduling, package and class passes. The wording is firm but friendly, so it can sit on your booking page and in confirmation messages.

What is included

  • What you getA booking and cancellation policy as text for your website or booking app, plus a short version for confirmation messages and a checklist. You also get it as a Word (.docx) file. It is a template, not legal advice: have a lawyer check it for your country, especially the fees.

What we need from you

Your type of business, how clients book and pay, your deposit and cancellation rules, and how you handle late arrivals and passes.

We will ask you:

  • What kind of business is it?
  • How much notice do you need for a cancellation, and what is the fee?
  • Do you sell packages or class passes?

Payment protection

  • Fixed priceThe package price does not change after you pay.
  • The money is reservedWhen you pay, the amount is only reserved. It is released to the service once you accept the work.
  • Checked before deliveryEvery result goes through a quality check before it reaches you, and you see it on the order page before accepting it.
  • Free revisionsAsk for changes within your brief as many times as the package allows.
  • Acceptance after 3 daysIf within 3 days of delivery you neither accept the work nor ask for changes, it is accepted automatically. If you write in the order chat after delivery, the order waits; once we answer, we may start the 3 days again and will say so in the chat.
  • Redo or a full refundIf the result does not match your brief and the revisions did not fix it, or the work takes more than twice its deadline, write in the order chat: we will redo the work or refund the payment in full.
