About this service
Co-founders usually agree on everything in the first month and argue in the second year about equity, workload and who can sell. We write a partnership or co-founder agreement that records shares and vesting, who contributes money, time or ideas, roles and decision-making, salaries and profit, what happens when someone leaves, and how disputes are settled. Writing it down early is far cheaper than splitting a company later.
What is included
- What you getA partnership agreement filled in with your shares and roles as text for a document you sign, plus a checklist. You also get it as a Word (.docx) file. It is a template, not legal advice: have a lawyer check it for your country and company form.
- Shares and vestingWho owns what and when it is earned
- Roles and decisionsWho decides what, and deadlock rules

What we need from you
The partners, the business, the country and company form, the split of shares, what each person contributes and does, and what should happen if someone leaves.
We will ask you:
- How many partners are there, and how are shares split?
- What does each partner contribute?
- Is the company registered yet, and where?
- What should happen if a partner leaves early?

Questions and answers
We have not registered a company yet. Is it too early?
No, many founders sign one before registration. Later its terms usually move into the charter or shareholders agreement.
What is vesting?
Shares are earned over time, often four years with a one-year cliff. If someone leaves early, unearned shares return to the company.
Does it replace the company charter?
No. It works alongside the registered documents, and a lawyer should make sure the two do not contradict each other.
