About this service
Data tables locked in research reports, statistical yearbooks, clinical or lab result sheets are the ones you most need to reuse, and the ones that break most often when copied out of a PDF: decimals shift, minus signs vanish and footnote markers stick to the numbers. Send the reports and name the tables you need, and we carry each one into its own Excel sheet with numbers stored as numbers, units in the header and footnote markers moved to a separate column. Every value we could not read with confidence is listed with its table, row and page.

Questions and answers
Will you check the statistics?
No. We carry the values over exactly as printed and do not recalculate totals, means or p-values. Doubtful readings are listed so you can compare with the source.
My tables have merged headers. Will they survive?
We flatten multi-level headers into one header row, such as 'Group A, mean (mg/L)', so the sheet can be sorted and filtered. Tell us if you prefer another style.
Can you read charts and figures?
No, only tables with text in them. Values shown only on a chart are not carried over.
Can you read scanned documents?
A scanned PDF without a text layer is not accepted. Send clear photos of the pages instead.
