About this service
Editors cut documentaries from transcripts: they search for the line they need, note its time and find it in the timeline. We transcribe your interviews from a link with the time of every line, so you can build a paper edit, pull quotes and send selects to the director. Times count from the start of the file you send, not from the camera's timecode, so send the same file your editor will use.

What we need from you
A link to the interview file (one file per order), the spoken language, the names of people, places and organizations mentioned, and whether you need a translation.
We will ask you:
- Which language is spoken in the interview?
- Who is speaking, and which names will come up?
- Do you need the transcript translated for the edit?

You pay when you order, but the money is released only for accepted work.

- Free revisionsAsk for changes within your brief as many times as the package allows.
- Acceptance after 3 daysIf within 3 days of delivery you neither accept the work nor ask for changes, it is accepted automatically. If you write in the order chat after delivery, the order waits; once we answer, we may start the 3 days again and will say so in the chat.
- Redo or a full refundIf the result does not match your brief and the revisions did not fix it, or the work takes more than twice its deadline, write in the order chat: we will redo the work or refund the payment in full.
Questions and answers
Are speakers labeled?
No. Lines are timed but not marked by speaker; with one subject and an off-camera interviewer, the questions are easy to spot.
Will the times match my timeline?
They start at 0:00 of the file you send. If your editor works from camera timecode, add the offset or send the file the editor uses.
Can I import the subtitles into my editing software?
Yes, SRT files import as captions into Premiere Pro and DaVinci Resolve.
